IMPACTS ON THE CATHOLIC CHUCH/
How is this person viewed today?
Joan of Arc did not make much of a remarkable impact on the Catholic Church after her death, but some of her impacts may included the change of view of women in the Church and maybe also the military. Without Joan of Arc the Church would not be more accepting and welcoming today, because in the medieval times, women were not considered important in society, unless you had a high status, like a queen, princess or a duchess. She was mostly known for her courageous actions in the military. She was not afraid to the lead the French army into battle with God as her guidance. Trusting in God could have also been another factor of impact. It would make people believe in God more and believe that God can do anything if you value him and stay faithful to him, she even said, "I am not afraid, I was born to do this".

Joan of Arc has been more appreciated as time went by as we grow in technology and research to help us understand more of Joan of Arc. Like said, she was known to be a legendary military leader, this was because of her age. She was just sixteen when she led the French army and achieving such enormous victories in Battles and making remarkable impacts in history, and only at the age of sixteen.
In today's society, the view of Joan of Arc is probably the same level it was when she won the Battle of Orleans. People will always think of Joan of Arc as a courageous, French peasant girl that ensured that God was helping them. Joan of Arc is also seen as an inspiration to women of today. |
